Overnight Accommodations for Freshman and Scholarship Orientation


Campus accommodations are available in between the two days of orientation for students and families attending Freshman Orientation sessions in May, June and July. 


Overnight Accommodations For Freshman Orientation (Hattiesburg Campus)
Students participating in Freshman Orientation sessions are offered complimentary overnight campus housing, but a reservation is required as space is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.  Students are housed separately from parents and families.


Overnight Campus Housing for Parents/Families
Parents/families may reserve overnight campus accommodations at the rate of $45 per room, and each room has a maximum occupancy of two people. Reservations are required as space is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Parents/families are housed separately from students.


Reserving Overnight Campus Housing
Students, parents and guests can reserve overnight campus housing by logging into the Orientation registration site. Reservations can be made while you are signing up to attend Freshman Orientation, or you may log back in at a later time and reserve overnight campus housing in addition to your existing event registration. Please note that Freshman Orientation registration will open in mid-March.


Overnight Campus Housing Amenities
Staying on campus during Freshman Orientation is a comfortable, convenient experience that allows families to become better acquainted with campus. All guests will be housed in either Scott or Vann halls. Each room is equipped with a microfridge, private bath, two twin beds and desk. Linens (blanket, pillow, sheets, pillow case, towels and washcloths) are provided. All buildings have elevators and are ADA compliant.
