The geology program offers a curriculum based on courses in liberal arts and sciences and culminates in upper-division geology courses.

The B.S. program of study consists of 67 credit hours of non-geology courses and 57 credit hours of geology courses for a total of 124 credits.

The purpose of the baccalaureate program is to prepare the graduate for professional positions in the environmental and energy job sectors.

The program further provides the foundation for graduate study in geology, as well as advanced-level careers.
